KATHY FAY (BENNER) JONES

Kathy Fay Jones was born on August 8, 1950 in Houston, TX and was called home on August 5, 2022. She graduated in 1968 from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston. This is where she met her lifelong friends and her future husband Gary. They married and moved to the Philippines and South Carolina while he was enlisted in the Air Force. They returned to Southbelt area in Houston to raise their two daughters. She worked in the IT department at Texaco for 30 years. Kathy and Gary moved to Montgomery, TX after retiring.
Kathy loved her family and enjoyed planning and hosting gatherings at their home. She was a beautiful and kind Mom, Granny, and Great Granny that will truly be missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Gary Don Jones, her brothers Milbirn Gerald and Alan Benner, and her parents Milbirn and Virginia Benner. She is survived by her daughters, Kim Brisbin and Kristi Gordon, with husband Britt. Grandchildren Megan Erb with husband Bryan, Bradley Brisbin with wife Mikaela, Kayne, Callum, and Connor Gordon. Great grandchildren Kamdon, Kadyn, and Grayson. Sisters Anita McMullen (Pat) , Connie Zvolensky (Ken), and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the sweet caregivers who showed great love to Kathy Fay. Funeral services will be held at Veterans Funeral Services, Visitation is Monday, August 15, 2022 from 5PM to 7PM. Chapel services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 9:30AM at funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Houston National Cemetery at 11AM. The part that I remember most is that Kathy and Anita were not only twin sisters, they were best friendsheart. That is such a rare and beautiful thing. God Bless your entire family.

My memories of Kathy go all the way back to our days at Jackson Junior High.  I especially remember her friendly smile and caring ways with everyone she met.  She will be missed!  RIP in Kathy. Prayers to your twin sister, Anita, and all of your family!

 WE have lost one of our own, a true sweet young lady !  My condolences to the family. Prayers are being lifted. Anita, special prayers for you as you are the only family that I knew since the loss of Gary.  I wish a complete healing for all.  We'll miss you Kathy !
